Our commitment to innovation extends beyond mRNA technology -- we believe in cultivating the next generation of enterprise leaders to drive the future of healthcare through strategic talent programs. At Moderna, Early Career programs are pivotal to our talent strategy, serving as a cornerstone for internal mobility and professional growth. By investing in these initiatives, we not only nurture the next generation of leaders but also create a dynamic environment where fresh perspectives and emerging talent can accelerate in our unique culture. These programs are integral in ensuring that our workforce remains agile, innovative, and ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

MBA Internship Program

Our MBA Internship Program is focused on talent development and growth for individuals passionate about having a positive impact on human health. The program offers students exciting opportunities to engage in full-time, project-based work with teams across Moderna. Each summer, we welcome a cohort of MBA students to work on project-based opportunities that drive business-critical impact. This 12-week program consists of networking with executives, mentoring and learning opportunities across the organization. In June, our second cohort of interns joined us for the summer across our commercial, R&D, CMC and digital teams.

Aamol, an MBA intern in supply chain, joined Moderna’s MBA internship for its platform potential and unique business-building opportunity. "With numerous products in the pipeline, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to create a massive impact," he said. "The fast-paced, summer immersion at Moderna has been a crash course in problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and leading change. Working with top experts on impactful projects equipped me with essential skills, aligning perfectly with my long-term career goals in healthcare."

Mika, who joined Moderna this summer as an MBA intern on our digital commercial team, shared, "My passion is creating seamless patient experiences through digital solutions. My MBA internship has exposed me to valuable cross-functional work with Commercial and Digital teams, and it has been exciting to see how Moderna is committed to empowering its people to question convention."

MBA Accelerator Program

Our MBA Accelerator Program serves as a launching pad for returning MBA graduates into their full-time leadership careers at Moderna. This program places talented individuals in critical business roles, offering engaging cross-functional projects to rapidly enhance their understanding of the entire value chain and deliver on impactful strategic initiatives. Over the course of the program, our returning MBAs will have access to unique mentoring opportunities, leadership networking and targeted development to accelerate their growth as Moderna leaders.

Katherine, Associate Director, Commercial, recently rejoined Moderna as part of the Accelerator Program. Reflecting on her decision, she shared, "I loved my internship last year and realized Moderna was the perfect place for me to learn and make an impact, especially at this exciting stage of growth. I knew I would have always wondered 'what if' if I didn't come back full-time." Katherine found her internship experience unique due to the responsibility and trust she was given from day one, along with the invaluable access to Moderna's leadership who shared their vision and insights. Looking forward, she is excited to see how Moderna tackles commercial challenges and to be part of that journey, while also reconnecting with her cohort from last summer.

Whether they aim to lead digital innovation, drive commercial success, shape HR strategies or advance our R&D program, our MBA Accelerator Program provides a strong foundation to launch their careers at Moderna. We're excited to see how our MBA colleagues make their mark on the future of medicine with fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
