For the second consecutive year, Moderna is a Health Equity sponsor at HLTH, which brings together the entire health ecosystem annually to focus on health innovation. Join us October 8-11 in Las Vegas as we support HLTH’s charter to elevate humanity by harnessing the power of mRNA to create a new category of medicines.

Shannon Thyme Klinger, our Chief Legal Officer and President of the Moderna Charitable Foundation, and Brad Miller, our Chief Information Officer, will join panel discussions on topics ranging from global public health to generative AI during this year’s event.

Building Resilient Health Systems

In 2022, the Moderna Charitable Foundation announced a new grant partnership with Seed Global Health, a nonprofit organization, to aid in the development of the health workforce in Malawi, Sierra Leone, Uganda and Zambia by providing clinical education and training. Seed Global aims to train 80,000 nurses, physicians and midwives over the next ten years.

Shannon Thyme Klinger will join Dr. Vanessa Kerry, co-founder and CEO of Seed Global Health, to discuss the mechanics, challenges and importance of public-private partnerships to strengthen professional health workforces and address critical shortages.

Join the live session, Empowering Communities to Build Resilient Health Systems in Africa, on October 9, 2023, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. PDT on the Impact Stage at HLTH.

Leading a New Era of Drug Development

Brad Miller will sit down with other industry thought leaders including, Anna Heatherington, PhD, R&D Chief Data and Technology Officer and Head, Data Sciences Institute, Takeda; Diogo Rau, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Eli Lilly and Company; and Greg Meyers, Executive Vice President, Chief Digital & Technology Officer at Bristol Myers Squibb to discuss the incredible mark generative AI is leaving on business and society. This group of “da Vinci’s” in pharma will dive into this new digital revolution and its impacts on drug development.

Moderna has leveraged AI capabilities across the company – from accelerating vaccine development, to diversifying the populations involved in clinical studies – the applications are endless. We know the future holds even more for AI’s contribution to the biotech industry and to society.

Listen in on the live session, A Drug Discovery Renaissance, on October 9, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 11:40 a.m. PDT on the Sky Stage at HLTH.
