"We as a company care deeply—about our patients, our employees, the environment and our communities. We recognise that we have an opportunity to change medicine for all, and we will continue to make corporate responsibility a critical part of who we are and what we do."

Medicines for patients

We are exploring the potential of mRNA to help create a new generation of medicines that are inclusive of all populations.

Global Health

In 2022, we launched mRNA Access, a program that aims to accelerate the creation of new vaccines using mRNA technology in collaboration with global partners. Researchers beyond Moderna can take advantage of the flexibility afforded by our platform to develop mRNA medicines for emerging and neglected infectious diseases.

Moderna Community

Inclusive Research

Moderna is developing medicines for everyone, and we realise we cannot explore the potential of mRNA without ensuring that access to these medicines is inclusive of all populations. Our approach to developing medicines is fundamentally rooted in the diversity of our clinical trials.

Employees

Moderna employees drive our achievements in bringing innovative medicines to patients. Our commitment to them is rooted in an inclusive environment that fosters well-being. We believe that we will only succeed in our goals if we are able to attract and retain individuals of diverse backgrounds and of all ages, genders, ethnicities, religions, home countries and sexual orientations. Benefits like professional development programs, workplace pension, stock options and generous paid leave mean our team is empowered to achieve great things.

Corporate Volunteering

All our team members receive paid time off each year to dedicate toward volunteering. In the UK we have a partnership with The Passage, a local charity who support people experiencing homelessness.

We have supported them with maintaining their community garden and held a kitchen takeover in December 2023 where the team helped prepare and serve a three-course lunch to 280 clients, staff and volunteers.
